The Office of Performance Evaluations (OPE) is a nonpartisan, independent office of our State Legislature, responsible for evaluating whether state government programs and agencies are operating efficiently and achieving intended results. In March of 2024, OPE was directed to evaluate Idaho’s role in ensuring the safety of children living in residential care facilities. OPE worked with many stakeholder agencies, including Disability Rights Idaho (DRI). You can view their final report here.
